Ampt offers a per developer per seat pricing model that provides access to the Ampt service and its tools (CLI, SDK, and Dashboard). For Developer and Team accounts, apps are deployed to Ampt-managed AWS accounts. You are billed for any AWS resource usage plus a 30% management fee.
Ampt strives to remove as much friction from the cloud development process as possible. Instead of setting up and managing AWS accounts, Ampt lets you focus on building and delivering value to your customers.
When using the Preview, Developer, or Team plan, Ampt automatically provisions and manages AWS accounts on your behalf. Each environment is deployed into a separate AWS account, ensuring security and workload isolation. Ampt continuously monitors and optimizes these accounts to ensure your applications are running at peak performance.
Ampt takes a "serverless-first" approach to deploying applications on AWS, utilizing scale-to-zero resources whenever possible. This means applications that receive a small amount of usage will generally cost less than $1 USD per month.
As applications grow in usage and complexity, the cost generally scales linearly based on the underlying resources consumed. Ampt will optimize resources to maximize performance and cost savings, including switching to provisioned services for sustained workloads.
Ampt's free hosting tier offers developers a platform experience at zero cost, with specific quotas on various resources:
Preview Plan Limits: For users on the Preview Plan, there are set limits on invocations, compute minutes, bandwidth, data storage, and file storage.
Upgrading to a Paid Developer Plan: By moving to the paid Developer plan, you'll receive $5 USD in usage credits every month.
Exceeding the Free Tier: When you exceed the free tier on a paid Developer plan, you'll be billed separately for the additional resources you use.
Absolutely! At Ampt, we want to ensure you have the flexibility to choose what's best for your team at any given time.
Upgrading Your Plan: When you choose to upgrade, the changes will take effect immediately, letting you access the enhanced capabilities right away.
Downgrading Your Plan: We understand that your needs might change. If you decide to go for a simpler plan, the change will be processed at the beginning of your next billing cycle. This gives you time to adjust and ensures you still enjoy the benefits of your current plan until then.
Currently, we offer the Preview Plan which allows you to explore Ampt for free. For additional capabilities and hosting limits, you'll need to upgrade to our Developer or Team plan.
We are working on implementing spending limits.
Long-running tasks refer to processes or operations that take more than 5 minutes to complete.
If you reach the maximum number of team members allowed, you'll need to contact us about upgrading to the Self-Hosted plan.
Absolutely. If you wish to integrate your own AWS accounts, you'll need to upgrade to the Self-Hosted plan.
An invocation in Ampt refers to the execution of any handler, such as triggering API endpoints, data change handlers, storage change handlers, or event handlers. Each time any of these handlers run, it's counted as a single invocation.
